Changing Pockets Trick

A simple coin magic trick that is easy to perform and highly entertaining!

As the magician, you borrow a coin from a spectator and get it marked. Say that you always tend to lose money due to the hole in your pocket and then drop this borrowed coin in your right pocket. “However, what is weird is that the pocket with the hole isn’t this one” (referring to the right pocket in which you have dropped the marked coin), “but the other one!” Lift your left foot and expose the marked coin there!

Things Required:

1.A coin quarter
2.A borrowed coin (quarter)

Learn the Trick:

1.You need to have an extra coin on your person. Well how else did you think it would be done?
2.Ask someone from the audience to lend you a coin.
3.Ask them to mark it in a unique way (with a pen or something)
4.Take the borrowed coin and drip it in the right pocket of your trouser.
5.Now, shake your right trouser leg as if you are shaking the borrowed coin into the hole in your pocket and down to your leg.
6.Face the audience and say, “it is weird is that the pocket with the hole isn’t this one (referring to the one in which you have dropped the marked coin), but the other one!”
7.Now for the tricky part. Somewhere in between your dropping the marked coin in your pocket and shaking your leg or even before that, you need to stick your coin under your shoe.

TIP: You can bend down on the pretext of adjusting your socks and stick the coin under the shoe quickly.

This is an easy beginner magic trick and it works really when you can tie up the steps with a story as explained here. This will really add to the “magic trick atmosphere!”
